September brings a magical time in the Kawuneeche Valley

I was working on my cabin all alone one fall and woke in the middle of the night to the sounds of elk bugling around my cabin in every direction. They continued throughout the night and the sound was hauntingly beautiful. This painting is a depiction of that memory at first daylight. 10% of original and print sales goes to support the work of The Rocky Mountain Conservancy.
